Alexandre Zagoskin recently gave the talk « Towards the qualitative theory of large quantum coherent structures » at the 3rd International Conference on Quantum Materials and Technologies (ICQMT2025). In his talk, he explores the challenges of designing and optimising large quantum coherent structures 🧠💻. Classical simulations fall short, so he proposes a qualitative theory based on universal, dimensionless parameters to map transitions between different operating regimes. This approach could help scale model systems to real-world quantum tech applications such as computing, imaging, and communication. 🚀🔬
